The Cullinan Diamond was so large that it had to be carefully cut into several smaller pieces, with the largest of these, the Cullinan I or the Great Star of Africa, weighing 530.4 carats (or 106.08 grams). This diamond is now part of the British Crown Jewels and is set in the caput of the Sovereign’s Sceptre.
