947 ride Joburg gets underway

Several road closures and parking restrictions are in total swing in some parts of Gauteng – as cyclists striking the road for the annual 947 ride Joburg. Cyclists are taking over the streets of Soweto through the inner city, on the Kyalami race track, past Monte Online Casino South Africa and through Randburg and then past Zoo Lake over Nelson Mandela bridge. This year’s race is expected to bring 10 thousand cyclists from around the country on a 97km route. Newzroom Afrika reporter, Ahmed Kajee has more details.
