Suncoast South African Casino, Hotels and amusement is an amusement complex situated at the northern destination of Durban’s Golden Mile, adjacent to the Kings Park Sporting Precinct. Besides the South African Casino, the complex houses many restaurants, a beach bar, cinemas and its own semi-private beach, which was rated as one of the top 3 beaches in South Africa. The designing of the complex is aimed to complement the vast art deco heritage that is found across Durban. Suncoast houses the largest South African Casino complex in South Africa.

hither are seven things you might not have got known about the uMhlanga Lighthouse:

The uMhlanga lighthouse was completed in 1954.
Construction was completed in 4 days and 19 hours.
The circular concrete tower, painted white with a red band at the top, stands 21 meters above the beach and has a focal plane height of 25 meters.
The fixed red light enables ships waiting to anchor in the outer anchorage, to monitor its position. If the red light is undetectable, it suggests the ships anchors have got probably dragged and is too close to shore.
The lighthouse has never had an official ‘keeper’. The Oyster Box Hotel, which was built in 1869, has been the tower’s custodian.
The construction of the lighthouse cost R23 838.
There are 95 steps to the top of the uMhlanga Lighthouse.
